Handyman

P&M Handyman & Construction LLC is seeking a dependable, skilled, and motivated Commercial & Residential Handyman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience performing a variety of repair, maintenance, remodeling, painting, carpentry, and general construction tasks in both residential and commercial properties.

The Handyman will be responsible for completing jobs safely, professionally, and efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform general handyman repairs and maintenance for residential and commercial properties.
• Complete interior and exterior repairs, renovations, and improvement projects.
• Perform basic carpentry, drywall repair, framing, trim work, and door repairs.
• Install and repair doors, cabinets, shelving, hardware, fixtures, and other building components.
• Perform interior and exterior painting, staining, caulking, and touch-up work.
• Repair and replace flooring, baseboards, trim, and other finish materials.
• Assist with decks, porches, fences, siding, and other exterior projects.
• Perform basic plumbing repairs and fixture replacements when qualified.
• Perform basic electrical-related tasks when qualified and permitted.
• Assist with demolition, cleanup, material handling, and preparation of work areas.
• Identify issues and recommend appropriate repair solutions.
• Measure, cut, install, and finish materials accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Properly use and maintain company tools and equipment.
• Follow all company safety procedures and applicable building codes.
• Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors, and other team members.
• Complete assigned work according to company standards, schedules, and job specifications.
• Document completed work and notify management of additional repairs or issues discovered on a job.
• Represent P&M Handyman & Construction LLC in a professional and respectful manner at all times.

Commercial Work

Commercial projects may include:

• Office and retail repairs
• Property maintenance
• Tenant improvements
• Drywall and painting
• Door and hardware repairs
• Flooring repairs and installation
• Ceiling and wall repairs
• General building maintenance
• Light construction and remodeling
• Punch-list completion
• Exterior repairs and maintenance

Residential Work

Residential projects may include:

• Home repairs and maintenance
• Kitchen and bathroom remodeling assistance
• Painting and drywall
• Trim and finish carpentry
• Door and cabinet installation
• Flooring repairs and installation
• Deck and porch repairs
• Fence repairs and installation
• Exterior maintenance
• General home improvements
• Small remodeling and renovation projects

Qualifications

• Previous handyman, construction, maintenance, remodeling, or related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of common construction materials, tools, and techniques.
• Ability to read basic measurements and follow project instructions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Must be able to communicate professionally with customers and coworkers.
• Must be dependable, honest, and willing to learn.
• Ability to safely lift, carry, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in various environments.
• Ability to pass any company-required screening.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to perform physical construction and maintenance work, including standing for extended periods, bending, kneeling, lifting materials and tools, climbing ladders, working indoors and outdoors, and working in varying weather and job-site conditions.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
