Come join us at Ozanam Hall Nursing Home of Queens!  A Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm, we've served the community since 1971.   We are a place of life, a place of caring, and more importantly, a true home for our residents. 

We are seeking to fill the position of Admissions Coordinator.

• $60,000 to $65,000 annually based on skills and experience. 

Admissions Coordinator Introduction: 

The Medicaid/Admissions Coordinator collaborate with both the Admissions Team to coordinate and facilitate appropriate admissions and with our Medicaid Coordinator to assist with NY Medicaid certification.

Admissions Coordinator Qualifications: 

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous admissions experience in Long-Term Care required.
• Knowledge and experience with various insurances required. 
• Medicare and Medicaid knowledge and experience required.

Admissions Coordinator Job Summary:

• Perform financial interview for Medicaid application process.
• File the Medicaid application/conversion through the MEDS system.
• Coordinate and facilitate appropriate admissions to our facility.
• Maintain contact with residents and families regarding potential admissions.
• Conduct interviews and tours of the facility.
• Verify resident insurance.
• Educate family members and prospective residents regarding Ozanam Hall services.
• Generate new referrals by establishing relationships with social workers, case managers and other professional contacts within hospital or other accounts.
• Maintain current understanding of client payment sources, i.e. HMO, commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, etc.
