Line Cook

About the Role

We’re hiring a Line Cook for The Ocean Restaurant in Bayville, New York. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys fast-paced kitchens, takes pride in food quality and wants to work in a scenic waterfront restaurant environment.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards
• Support daily kitchen operations during busy service periods
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchen
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
• Work collaboratively with cooks, prep staff and dishwashers
• Assist with prep work, inventory and stocking as needed
• Ensure food is plated and served with consistency and quality
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently

What We’re Looking For

• 1–2 years of kitchen or food service experience preferred
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations
• Willingness to learn and grow in a busy kitchen
• Flexible availability including weekends
• Eligible to work in the U.S.
