About the Role
We’re hiring a Kitchen Manager for Sally’s Apizza in Norwalk, Connecticut. This is a great fit for a hands-on culinary leader who thrives in high-volume kitchens, enjoys developing teams and takes pride in maintaining exceptional food quality and operational standards.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations and back-of-house performance
- Train, mentor and develop kitchen staff and future culinary leaders
- Maintain food quality, presentation and recipe consistency
- Manage food ordering, inventory and cost controls
- Conduct line checks and ensure prep procedures meet company standards
- Enforce food safety, sanitation and cleanliness procedures
- Collaborate on recipe development, systems and kitchen processes
- Monitor product rotation and storage to reduce waste and spoilage
- Support scheduling and kitchen staffing needs
- Communicate effectively with managers and kitchen staff during service
What We’re Looking For
- 2–3 years of kitchen leadership experience in a full-service restaurant
- Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation and kitchen systems
- Experience with food costing, labor analysis and inventory management
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume environments
- ServeSafe Certification required
- Basic Spanish preferred but not required
- Culinary training or culinary degree preferred
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
