Responsibilities:
- Support and perform internal audits focused on operational, financial, and compliance areas
- Assist with evaluating internal controls, identifying risks, and recommending process improvements
- Participate in SOX testing, documentation, and compliance activities
- Review business processes and help identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce risk
- Prepare audit workpapers, reports, and supporting documentation
- Collaborate with internal departments to gather information and communicate audit findings
- Assist with follow-up activities related to audit recommendations and corrective actions
- Support special projects, investigations, and risk assessment initiatives as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field
- CPA or CIA certification preferred or actively pursuing certification
- 1–5 years of relevant experience in public accounting, corporate internal audit, or related audit environments
- Understanding of internal controls, audit procedures, and risk management concepts
- Exposure to SOX compliance or regulatory environments is a plus
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a collaborative environment
