TITLE: Musical Director #1
SUMMARY: Reporting to the Building Principal, the Musical Director #1 is responsible for directing all school musicals and overseeing all aspects of musicals to create a theatrical experience for high school students.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Orders materials.
Holds auditions.
Organizes sets and props.
Oversees marketing.
Attends all rehearsals.
Coordinates with Music Director #2.
Choreographs routines, as needed.
Oversees sale of tickets.
Creates musical program.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Current member of the Oxford Education Association.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to remain in a stationary position for extended periods and/or position oneself to demonstrate technique; move up to 25 lbs. Accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform the functions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work is generally performed primarily indoors and predominantly in a school classroom or in the school auditorium.
