Qualifications
- We are looking for someone who loves to teach and work with high school students in a musical theatre production process, beginning immediately through November performances
- The ideal candidate will have a positive approach and establish a professional and engaging working environment that is process-oriented and empowers student leadership
- Seeking musicians with the ability to teach and guide singers through score, prioritizing vocal health for young performers
Responsibilities
- Act as vocal coach and music director to teach music during the process
- Conduct the pit during performances
- Hire pit musicians and recruit student musicians
- Collaborate with the Director and Choreographer to develop a plan and vision for the show
- Attend production meetings with the production staff throughout the process
- Coordinate auditions and cast the production with the Director and Choreographer
- Create and coordinate a rehearsal schedule with the Director and Choreographer
