Job Summary
Music Director Opportunity
Are you passionate about music and worship? Do you enjoy directing a choir, playing piano, and helping create meaningful worship experiences that blend cherished traditions with fresh, contemporary expressions of faith? If so, we would love to speak with you.
Our Music Director serves as an important part of the worship ministry, working closely with the Pastor, Choir, and accompanist to plan and lead music for Sunday morning worship services and special seasonal celebrations throughout the church year.
We are seeking an individual who:
- Enjoys directing a choir and working collaboratively with musicians.
- Is proficient in piano performance.
- Can play the organ or is willing to learn.
- Brings additional instrumental talents (a welcome bonus).
- Has a passion for enriching worship through music while honoring the church's musical heritage.
This position offers the opportunity to help guide our music ministry toward a more contemporary style while continuing to embrace the traditional music that remains an important part of our congregation's worship experience.
The time commitment is manageable and primarily consists of Sunday mornings from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., along with rehearsals, planning, and participation in seasonal worship services throughout the year.
The choir does not sing on the second Sunday of each month and takes a summer recess, resuming in September.
If you feel called to share your musical gifts in a faith-filled and welcoming church community, we encourage you to reach out.
