Project Details:
Defense contractor developing small, low-cost missile seekers (the guidance “nose” of the missile) on a funded program. Huntsville focuses on radar/RF seekers that must fit in a very small airframe with tight power and compute limits. You’ll own system and software architecture for the seeker.
Musts:
- Active Secret clearance
- Onsite in Huntsville, AL
- 15–20 yrs experience preferred (10 minimum)
- Radar/RF seeker experience as the primary background (guided munitions, missiles, rockets)
- Software and systems-level architecture experience
- BS in Software, CS, or Computer Engineering (or similar), with a coding background before moving into systems architecture
Pluses:
- Experience at a prime developer (Lockheed, Raytheon, Boeing, Northrop, BAE)
- Hands-on hardware/software work, not just remote analysis
- Aerospace engineering background (mechanical engineers rarely fit)
Salary : $85 - $100
