Role: Embedded / Firmware Engineer
Start Date: 4 weeks from an offer (how long internal onboard takes with this med device client)
Duration: 12 Months
Experience Level: They are looking for a mid-level engineer (around 5 years of experience) but are open to junior or senior candidates who can perform the necessary engineering work and documentation
Location: Carlsbad, CA Onsite. Will consider someone willing to do 3 on / 2 off, but the more onsite the better. It is a small team at this location.
Process: 1 panel interview over Teams (60 Min.)
Project Details:
Musts: C/C , Embedded / Firmware developer, who is comfortable doing some testing as well
MUST be comfortable in an Agile environment. Scope of day-to-day work can change.
Medical Device is A HUGE plus. Class III Implantable is bullseye ( Neurostimulators ) and 62304
They are looking to hire one contractor for the integration project.
Role Scope: The contractor role is flexible, encompassing firmware development or verification, with the team adapting tasks based on the candidate's strengths.
Integration Challenges: A significant part of the integration involves moving Client s product and work to client s quality system, requiring remediation, documentation, patches, and bug fixes due to startup background.
Desired Experience: Ideal candidates should have experience in the medical device industry (especially Class III implantable devices like neurostimulators), understand quality management systems (QMS), and be familiar with remediation processes (e.g., IEC 62304).
Technical Skills: Required technical skills include C/C embedded development, unit/integration/verification testing, and familiarity with microcontrollers
