Title: Hardware Test Technician (PCBA)
Location: San Jose, CA 100% Onsite (5-days)
Duration: 6 months (Temp-to-Perm conversion)
Work Schedule: M-F; 7am-5pm
Scope: Our client is seeking a Hardware Test Technician within our New Production Introduction Team in San Jose, CA. The key area of focus is they must be able to troubleshoot and repair PCBA at the component level, as well as troubleshoot with test equipment lab tools like Oscilloscopes, multimeters, analyzers, etc.
Duties:
- Responsible for conducting tests and evaluations on products (Tester and PCBA) to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
- Conduct Testing: Test technicians perform various tests to evaluate the functionality, reliability, and durability of client products. This can include stress tests, performance evaluations, and quality assurance checks.
- Document Results: After conducting tests, recording, and interpreting the results, providing detailed data to engineers and stakeholders to inform product development and improvements.
- Maintain Equipment: Test technicians are responsible for the upkeep of testing equipment, including regular cleaning, calibration, debug, and repairs to ensure accurate testing results.
Skills:
- Able to troubleshoot PCBA at component level
- Able to repair PCBA at component level
- Able to use and troubleshoot Test Equipment Tools (Oscilloscope, Meter)
- Able to identify product and equipment failures
- 5 years of related experience is desired
- Must be able to communicate with cross functional personnel (Verbally and by email)
- Able to use Client Office (Excel/Word/PDF/etc.)
- Ability of lift up to 50 pounds
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Needs to be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Able to work overtime
