Job Title: Yoga Instructor

Job Summary: Oxford Athletic Club is the most extensive private health and fitness club in the Pittsburgh area and is nationally recognized by the Health & Fitness Association for excellence. Comprehensive Pilates Certification through an accredited organization (i.e., Peak Pilates, Powerhouse Pilates) is required along with a current CPR certification. A minimum of two years’ training experience in working with clientele of all fitness levels is preferred. Please provide photocopies of all certifications. Pilates Instructors teach individual clients and small group classes specializing in Pilates Reformer and Pilates Chair.

Pay: $30.00 per class

Job Relationships: Reports to: Mind & Body Manager

Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Job Duties:

· Lead 3–5 classes per week, including early mornings, afternoons, evenings, and/or weekends

· Deliver high-quality yoga instruction that is inclusive, safe, and engaging for all skill levels

· Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to class to prepare the space and welcome students

· Foster a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive environment for all participants

· Provide modifications and hands-on adjustments to meet diverse needs and abilities

· Maintain a clean and organized studio space before and after each class

· Represent the studio professionally and help build a strong sense of community

· Stay current with yoga trends through continuing education and personal practice

· Maintain current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications

· Collaborate with staff and management on programming and community events

· Communicate regularly with the Mind & Body Manager

· Promote and support special events and programs by staying informed on club updates

· Follow all club and departmental policies, maintaining awareness of any updates

· Assist in emergency situations using proper response protocols and notify management immediately

· Attend required staff meetings and training sessions

· Support team members in delivering exceptional programs and member experiences

· Complete additional duties as assigned by management

Education & Training:

· Minimum 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification (Yoga Alliance certification preferred)

· Current CPR/AED and first aid certification required

Work Experience: At least 1 year of group class teaching experience strongly preferred

Skills & Abilities:

We are looking for a professional, punctual, and reliable instructor with a passion for wellness and community building. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with a solid knowledge of yoga, alignment, anatomy, and breathwork. A polished, professional appearance is expected, and candidates should be in good physical condition with the ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Job Types: Part-time

*Eligible for full-time status after meeting a minimum of 30 hours per week.
