What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk / Office Assistant – Childcare Center position at Oxford Academy Preschool?
We are looking for a dependable and enthusiastic Front Desk / Office Assistant to support daily operations at our childcare center in Powder Springs.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist the Director with office and administrative duties
- Greet parents, answer calls, conduct tours, and provide program information
- Manage records, food menus, food program documentation, and supply inventory
- Help prepare breakfast and lunch with the Assistant Director
- Support teachers and classrooms when needed, including substituting for ages 0–12
- Monitor classrooms, schedules, lesson plans, and staff compliance
- Assist with behavior management and children who need additional support
- Help coordinate field trips and daily center operations
- Support closing staff and ensure the building is secure
Requirements:
- Childcare center experience required
- Office/administrative experience preferred
- Knowledge of Bright from the Start rules and regulations
- Strong communication, reliability, and teamwork skills
- Background check and health physical required
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM–6:30 PM
