What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Quality Technician position at Oxenham Group?
We are working with a growing medical device manufacturer seeking a Senior Quality Technician to support inspection and quality system activities tied to the development and production of an implantable medical device. This is a hands-on role for someone with strong inspection experience, a solid understanding of regulated manufacturing, and the ability to support core quality system processes in a fast-paced environment.
What you’ll be doing
- Perform incoming dimensional inspection of mechanical parts using hand tools and optical inspection systems
- Perform in-process visual inspection of assemblies
- Support and maintain quality records, including inspection data and production/device history records
- Help administer calibration and maintenance activities, including coordination with outside calibration vendors
- Support nonconforming material processes
- Assist with document control, CAPA, internal audits, and external audit preparation as needed
- Work closely with manufacturing and quality teams to help ensure compliance with regulatory and quality requirements
What they’re looking for
- Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing environment within medical device, automotive, or aerospace/aeronautics
- Minimum 2 years of QC inspection experience
- Experience with dimensional and visual inspection of mechanical parts to drawings, specifications, and standards
- Strong communication skills and comfort working both independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office
- GD&T knowledge is a PLUS
- Experience with Keyence inspection systems is a PLUS
- Weld inspection experience is a PLUS
- Basic statistics / Minitab exposure is a PLUS
