We are seeking an Analytical Chemistry Laboratory Tech to support laboratory testing activities related to raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products. This is a hands-on contract opportunity for someone with a strong analytical chemistry foundation, experience working with lab instrumentation, and the ability to operate effectively in a structured laboratory environment. The role will support routine testing, documentation, equipment readiness, and related analytical activities in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform wet chemistry testing, including pH, osmolality, and related analyses
- Prepare laboratory solutions such as buffers and mobile phases
- Conduct routine testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment, including HPLC and other analytical instruments
- Support laboratory cleanliness, compliance, and chemical waste handling procedures
- Monitor lab inventory and help coordinate supply readiness
- Perform data analysis and use instrument operating / data acquisition software
- Support assigned lab projects under direct or general supervision
- Follow established laboratory safety procedures for handling chemicals and materials
- Assist with other laboratory duties and special projects as needed
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or a closely related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Training or experience in analytical chemistry, wet chemistry, and laboratory instrumentation
- Experience operating HPLC and working with chromatographic methods
- Ability to troubleshoot, operate, and calibrate analytical instrumentation
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in analytical chemistry
- Experience working with insulin or similar-sized peptides
- Experience supporting device-drug compatibility studies
- Additional GMP, laboratory safety, or analytical method development training/certifications are a plus
