Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas.
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely by following proper chemical agent handling safety procedures and safety protocol adherence.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and other custodial tools to maintain floors and surfaces.
• Conduct detailed sanitation of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas to ensure compliance with health standards.
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks using safe lifting practices when moving furniture, supplies, or equipment.
• Maintain facilities by performing minor repairs or notifying maintenance staff of larger issues requiring attention.
• Support industrial cleaning or commercial cleaning projects as needed, including specialized floor care like buffing or polishing.
• Follow established safety protocols during all custodial activities to prevent accidents or injuries.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing facility-related concerns promptly and professionally.

Experience

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience is preferred; familiarity with commercial or industrial cleaning environments is a plus.
• Experience handling cleaning chemicals safely and knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and other custodial machinery confidently.
• Physical capability for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Background in facilities maintenance or general upkeep enhances your suitability for this role.
• Previous porter experience or residential painting background can be advantageous but is not mandatory.
• Strong understanding of sanitation standards and safety protocols ensures high-quality work performance.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
