OWSI is in the process of adding a new Quality Manager to our great team of manufacturing professionals. We are one of the oldest machine shops in Houston with a proven track record of success and excellence. Within our 30,000 square foot climate-controlled facility we manufacture parts and accessories for the oil/gas and aerospace industries. We are looking for a Quality Manager to join our great team. CMM PROGRAMMING EXPERIENCE A PLUS!! **THIS POSITION REQUIRES THE ABILITY TO WORK IN A FAST-PACED & STRESSFUL ENVIRONMENT**

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead a small team of inspectors.
- Utilizing experience and knowledge to manage the company QMS.
- Develope and oversee NCR system that will help reduce scrap.
- Reviewing blueprints and specifications used in the manufacturing of finished goods.
- Recording inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-works and wastes, and inputting data into a quality database.
- Keeping measurement equipment operating accurately by following calibration requirements and calling for repairs.
- Writing/Preparing CofC Quality Documents for all manufactured items.
- Performing first article, in-process, and final inspections of complex parts.
- Performing line inspections/in-process inspections.
- Record Keeping
- QC Data Entry
- Keeping track of daily needs of the company's quality requirements.
REQUIREMENTS:
- ***MUST HAVE AT LEAST 2 YEARS MANAGING A QUALITY DEPARTMENT IN A PRECISION MACHINING ENVIRONMENT***
- Superior understanding and knowledge of engineering blueprints, tolerancing, and GD&T.
- High levels of experience with (to include, but not limited to):
- MANUAL HEIGHT GAGES
- CALIPERS
- MICROMETERS
- BORE GAGES
- ELECTRONIC MICRO-HEIGHT GAGES
- MANUAL CMM
- COMPARATOR
- FIRST ARTICLE INSPECTIONS
- FINAL INSPECTIONS
- DECIPHERING CUSTOMER SPECIFICATIONS FOR MANUFACTURING/FINISHING REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to operate effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced/stressful environment IS AN ABSOLUTE MUST!!!
- Ability to multi-task, and must have great time management skills.
- Must be able to work with effectively with minimal to no supervision.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour
