OWL VISION
Wellesley, MA Intern
POSTED ON 11/15/2025
AVAILABLE BEFORE 12/14/2025

Job Title: Business Development & Sales Operations Intern (Spring 2026)

Company: Owl Vision (AgTech / Computer Vision for Growers)

Location: New England (Remote Occasional On-Site at Trade Shows)

Type: Part-Time Internship (10–15 hours/week)

🌱 About Owl Vision

Owl Vision builds ultra-low-power camera and sensor devices to help fruit growers and greenhouse operators monitor insects and plant diseases in real time.

We work with apple orchards, greenhouses, and specialty crop growers to turn images and micro-climate data into actionable insights — so they spray smarter, reduce risk, and sleep better during the season.

We’re a small, hands-on startup. You’ll work directly with the founder, talk to real growers, and see your work turn into real deployments in the field.

🎯 Role Overview

We’re looking for a Business Development & Sales Operations Intern to help us turn trade show conversations and inbound interest into real customer meetings and pilots.

You don’t need to be an expert in agriculture or AI. But you must be organized, comfortable communicating with people, and willing to learn fast.

This role is perfect for someone who:

  • Likes startups more than big corporations
  • Enjoys talking to people and making things happen
  • Wants to see both the sales and product side of an early-stage tech company
🧩 What You’ll Do

Sales Follow-Up & Pipeline Management

  • Organize and clean up lead lists from trade shows, referrals, and website forms
  • Enter and update leads in our CRM (e.g., spreadsheet, HubSpot, or Close)
  • Send follow-up emails based on templates and customize them when needed
  • Help qualify leads (who’s serious, who’s just curious) and track next steps

Scheduling & Coordination

  • Help schedule intro calls and demos between the founder and growers
  • Coordinate time slots, send calendar invites, and remind people before meetings
  • Maintain a simple weekly pipeline report (who is at which stage, what’s next)

Customer Communication

  • Draft clear, friendly emails to orchard and greenhouse growers
  • Send recap emails after calls (key points, next actions)
  • Help prepare simple one-pagers, slide decks, or PDF summaries for growers

Trade Show Support (Optional but a plus)

  • Help with pre-show outreach (letting existing leads know we’ll be there)
  • Assist with on-site note taking, scanning badges, and organizing contacts
  • Help with post-show follow-up campaigns
✅ You’re a Great Fit If…
  • You’re currently a junior or senior majoring in:
  • Business, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Management, or
  • Agriculture / Environmental Science with strong communication skills
  • You’re comfortable writing professional emails in English
  • You’re not afraid to talk to people over email / LinkedIn / occasionally on Zoom
  • You like spreadsheets, light CRM work, and keeping things organized
  • You’re curious about startups, B2B sales, or AgTech
  • You can commit 10–15 hours per week during the Spring semester
🌟 Nice-to-Haves (Not Required)
  • Experience with any CRM (HubSpot, Close, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Experience in agriculture, horticulture, food systems, or sustainability
  • Experience helping a startup, student venture, or club grow membership or partnerships
  • Comfortable attending the occasional trade show in New England (we cover costs)
💵 Compensation
  • Hourly Rate: USD $18–$25 / hour, depending on experience
  • Potential for performance-based bonuses tied to qualified meetings or pilots
  • Flexible hours — we’ll work around your class schedule
