What are the responsibilities and job description for the Member Service Representative Manager position at Owensboro Federal Credit Union?
Position Purpose: Accountable for the supervision of the teller area. May perform all teller functions on an as needed basis. Solve escalated member problems and/or help with complex member questions or work-related matters. Guide and advise tellers in the efficient handling of member needs and accurate transactional process.
Job Responsibilities
· Supervise the activities of the teller operations area by assigning work, answering questions, solving problems, helping with complex transactions and sensitive member relations problems. Explain policies and procedures to members as a communication skill.
· Ensure that staff is trained and cross-trained in all phases of their particular jobs to ensure the delivery of quality service to members and to ensure accuracy in transactions.
· Manage and recommend the purchase of supplies.
· Up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of all credit union products and services that are handled or promoted by Member Services Representatives.
· Maintain comprehensive, up-to-date knowledge of all State and Federal regulations that are applicable to the transactions performed in the teller area. Regulations such as BSA, OFAC, FinCEN, etc. Knowledge of all credit union policies and procedures.
· Investigate teller losses and institute corrective flow of work and report to the Operations Manager
· Assist members with all transactions including Share Certificates and Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs)
· Reply to email or other electronic requests submitted by members, again providing professional, prompt, efficient, and accurate service information.
· Provide in-person, by telephone, and online general and specific service-related information concerning credit union products or policies
· Have knowledge of all branch operations and equipment
· Assist with payroll and benefits
· Assist with garnishments and levies
· Assist Operations Manager with daily duties
