Job Responsibilities

- Ensures a safe and environmentally compliant workplace where safety is a first priority
- Leads by example through hazard recognition and elimination
- Being a subject matter expert on the critical product characteristics required to provide our customers with a quality product
- Developing and implementing procedures and systems to ensure products consistently meet or exceed customer expectations
- Supporting trials for new and existing products to ensure they meet our customer’s fitness for use
- Coordinates with upstream and downstream processes to meet production demands aligning people, raw material and machine capacities
- Support the TPM process through Daily Management and participating in AM area or Pillar Teams as required.
- Accountable for ensuring process is run to specifications utilizing SPC control
- Plans and executes Planned Maintenance shutdown work for Operations coordinating with the Planned Maintenance pillar
- This position will be primary point of contact for line issues and management as needed.
- Support plant maintenance and operations teams in system and equipment troubleshooting and in technology transfer
- Performs root cause analysis in partnership with key stakeholders to address quality issues, implementing sustainable corrective actions for process shifts or upsets
- Analyze product and process data to optimize performance. Identify and implement process improvements and best practices with the goals being enhanced safety, enhanced functionality, and improved efficiency.
- Educate primary employees in the manufacturing process and process control procedures
- Engage team members to collaboratively own the success of the business by contributing to continuous improvement in the areas of safety, quality, cost, productivity, etc.
- Recognizes and rewards positive behaviors and contribution to critical plant performance metrics
- Effectively communicates critical plant performance metrics to team members daily to ensure engagement
- Monitors and enforces all plant and corporate policies and procedures
- Leverages standard work to minimize variation and waste
- Leads Focused Improvement activities to improve process capability and efficiencies, reduce costs, and eliminate waste
- Partners with relevant stakeholders to optimize the process and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Participates in and leads TPM, Kaizen and 5S events in various work areas throughout plant
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related discipline and 2 or more years technical experience in a Manufacturing Environment or 5 year’s progressive technical experience in a Manufacturing Environment.
- Eligible for work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future. This positions is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship.
- Demonstrated experience in root cause analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership in sustaining and improving plant safety
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of the work processes and procedures on one or more production lines
- Strong technical acumen
- Demonstrated success utilizing continuous improvement tools
- Demonstrated ability to assess performance gaps and coach for results
- Ability to make decisions quickly and adapt to unplanned situations
- Ability to work well as part of a team and within a matrixed organization,
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good listening and comprehension skills
- Resolves conflict as needed
- Ability to safeguard self with proper PPE for the specific task
- Exposure to hot/cold temperature- periodically
- Exposure to noise- periodically
- Hand/Eye Coordination– continuously
- Walk, Sit, Stand for duration of shift with regular breaks
- Lift/carry/move up to 25 lbs. independently and heavier weights with assistance.
- Climb stairs, steps, and ladders
- Ability to work extended hours as necessary
- Able to Operate Computers & Computerized equipment for quality, safety and compliance testing and training.
- Communicate with co-worker’s face to face, by telephone, and electronic communications.
- Possess manual dexterity necessary to operate equipment, operate a computer and other standard office equipment.
- Vision is adequate to manipulate equipment controls, complete paperwork, utilize computers, and have depth perception.
