About the Role
We are partnering with a leading electrical contractor to hire an experienced Electrical Superintendent for a major hyperscale data center project in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile mission-critical project with a well-established contractor delivering complex electrical installations.
This is a travel-based position, and candidates must be willing to travel for the duration of the project.
Travel Rotation
This role follows a structured travel schedule designed to provide extended time at home:
- 4 weeks on-site followed by an extended weekend off
- Fly home Wednesday around noon
- Return to site on Sunday
- 100% on-site during working weeks
- Some Saturday work will be required based on project demands

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all electrical construction activities on a large-scale data center project.
- Manage electrical field crews, subcontractors, and daily site operations.
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
- Coordinate with project management, general contractors, owners, and other trades.
- Maintain project schedules and drive production to meet key milestones.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with project specifications, NEC requirements, and safety regulations.
- Resolve field issues while maintaining productivity and quality.
- Participate in planning meetings, progress updates, and coordination activities.
- Promote a strong safety culture across the jobsite.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Electrical Superintendent on commercial or industrial construction projects.
- Electrical contracting background is required.
- Experience delivering data center, mission-critical, hospital, or airport electrical projects is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction sequencing, scheduling, and field coordination.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple crews and subcontractors in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be willing to travel and work the required rotation schedule.
- Journeyman license required
