Essential Duties & Responsibilities

$25.00 per hour, 499 hours for the year

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct drug and alcohol assessments and make recommendations
- Provide guidance information and resources
- Make referrals to appropriate community resources in accordance with school district guidelines
- Coordinate and implement group guidance programs, including anger management, grief, COA, changing families, anxiety, social skills, stress management, peer relations, and others topics as deemed necessary
- Respond to crisis situations when appropriate
- Collaborate with and support the Student Assistant Services Department
To successfully perform this position, a person must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualification requirements listed below represent minimum levels of educational achievement, training, skill and/or ability necessary.
- Bachelor's Degree in related field required
- Master's Degree and/or License in related field preferred
- Effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop good relationships with students, peers, parents and community.
- Well organized with good time management skills.
- Ability to express self clearly and concisely in oral and written communications; and to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups.
- Computer literate and competent with word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
- Submission of PA School Personnel Health form.
- Current Act 34, Act 151 and Act 114 clearances.
