- Create and maintain patient profiles in pharmacy systems with prescription and insurance details.
- Process new prescriptions, address insurance, reimbursement, and payment issues.
- Answer inbound calls, triaging to appropriate staff as needed.
- Retrieve, prepare, and monitor medications for pharmacist review; manage inventory.
- Assist with adjudicated prescription claims and resolve Pharmacy Benefit Manager issues.
- National pharmacy technician certification (PTCB or equivalent); state certification acceptable.
- Minimum two years of related ambulatory pharmacy experience.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work accurately under volume and time constraints.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical products, services, and drug interactions.
