Day to day as a Bilingual Peer Recovery Specialist
As a Full-Time Bilingual Peer Recovery Specialist at Owen Health Care, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive emotional support through individual interactions and support groups, fostering self-esteem and confidence among clients with your empathy and caring approach. You'll also deliver informational support by facilitating classes, training, and seminars, equipping individuals with the skills they need to become peer support specialists. Your instrumental support will shine through as you coordinate referrals and provide tangible assistance, helping clients navigate challenges such as transportation, housing, food, and clothing. Additionally, you'll create a sense of community by facilitating social support in designated spaces and activities, connecting individuals in recovery to promote learning and recreational skills.
