Job Title: EAM Geospatial Specialist
Location: Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 Months with three 12-month extension options (Part-time)
Years of Experience: 5 Yrs.
Required Hours/Week: 30hrs./Week including 8 hours on-site
Role Overview:
- The EAM Geospatial Specialist will support the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Division in developing geospatial data standards, system integration protocols, and web applications within the end-client's EAM Program.
- This part-time role focuses on spatially enabling asset management through GIS integration with IBM Maximo.
Responsibilities:
- Geospatial Data Governance and Integration
- Develop and document geospatial data models and schema for transportation infrastructure assets (bridges, roads, rail, etc.).
- Create and maintain master metadata and the EAM Program’s data dictionary (ARID).
- Assist in designing and maintaining the Linear Referencing System (LRS) and Linear Referencing Methods (LRM).
- Define technical specifications and curate authoritative base maps.
- Implement and document geospatial data validation and quality control procedures.
- Collaborate with the Technology Department (TEC) and the Asset Management Support Services (AMSS) team to define the architecture for bidirectional GIS–Maximo data exchange.
- Document spatial workflows and system architecture.
- Web Mapping and Application Development
- Design, publish, and manage map and feature services for web/mobile applications.
- Configure and deploy user-friendly Web Maps and Applications (ArcGIS Online, Portal, Experience Builder, Field Maps).
- Ensure usability and alignment with end-user requirements for asset management workflows.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience utilizing GIS in transportation, public works, or asset management environments.
Preferred Skills:
- Expertise in Esri ArcGIS Platform (Pro, Enterprise, Online, Field Maps, Survey123).
- Strong experience with Enterprise Geodatabases, data versioning, and replication.
- Hands-on experience defining and implementing Linear Referencing Systems (LRS/LRM).
- Familiarity with EAM/CMMS integration (e.g., Maximo, SAP, AssetWorks).
- CAD-to-GIS conversion experience.
- Knowledge of asset life cycle management, data pipelines, and scripting (Python preferred).
- Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
- GISP certification preferred.
Schedule and Work Hours:
- Flexible working hours within 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST.
- Typically no work on NJ/NY state holidays.

- May require security clearance and non-disclosure agreements as per Authority protocols.
