Business Development Manager
Owen Daniels is proud to partner with a provider of world-class maritime technology and electronic systems, currently expanding its US operations in Norfolk, Virginia.
As part of this expansion, they are looking for an experienced BDM with strong knowledge of the US Navy Maritime Industrial Base ecosystem and a proven track record of monitoring and navigating government contracting opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue opportunities across the US Navy Maritime Industrial Base
- Use SAM.gov, GovWin and consortium platforms to monitor and shape opportunities
- Develop and manage relationships across NAVSEA, NSWC, marine engineering organizations, shipbuilders and industry consortiums
- Support capture strategy and proposal development
- Align customer requirements with company capabilities
- Manage programs from order through to operational deployment
- Represent the company at trade shows and industry events
- Maintain current knowledge of US Navy modernization programs
Required Qualifications and Experience
- 10 years' business development experience within the US Navy Maritime Industrial Base
- Strong technical acumen, ideally within electronics or maritime technology
- Active Secret security clearance essential
