Role Description
The Vice President (VP) of Marketing will lead the marketing strategy for the North American and South American markets as well as help lead the global marketing strategy for Ovesco worldwide, lead product launches, brand positioning, and market expansion to drive revenue growth. This full-time, on-site role based in Cary, NC will manage the internal marketing team, oversee budgets, and ensure regulatory compliance (FDA/ISO) while collaborating with sales and R&D. Key requirements include 8 years of medical device experience, strategic planning skills, and strong leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies for product portfolios and market expansion.
- Product Management: Oversee the entire life cycle of products, from launch strategies to market penetration.
- Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead marketing teams, including product managers and directors.
- Regulatory & Compliance: Ensure all marketing materials and strategies comply with FDA, ISO, and other international standards.
- Market Analysis: Conduct competitive analysis and gather market insights to identify new opportunities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, R&D, and Clinical Affairs to align marketing goals with company objectives, both in the US and Germany
- Budgeting & Metrics: Manage marketing budgets and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and ROI.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Engineering, or a scientific field; MBA is highly preferred.
- Experience: 8–12 years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 5 years specifically in the medical device industry.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage teams. Ability to work closely with sales teams to drive market share.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of healthcare regulations and medical device marketing trends. Expertise in product launches and brand positioning. Must be proficient in English.
- Analytical Skills: Strong quantitative and analytical skills for market analysis.
