Your Day at Overton

Step onto the shop floor at Overton Industries and into a rhythm of precision. You’ll kick off by reviewing blueprints and CAD models, choosing the right tools and fixtures, and setting up CNC lathes, mills, and grinders alongside manual machines. Throughout the shift, you’ll monitor machining operations, make adjustments for tight tolerances, and validate quality with micrometers, calipers, and CMM checks. You’ll partner closely with engineering and production teams to trim cycle times, boost throughput, and keep quality uncompromised. Routine maintenance and safety are constants—keeping equipment at peak performance and the workspace clean, organized, and safe. Before clocking out, you’ll document production data—quantities, materials, and any deviations—to keep everything traceable and on spec.
