Essential Responsibilities
Plan and deliver rigorous science instruction aligned with the Massachusetts Science and Technology/Engineering Curriculum Frameworks.
-Develop engaging lessons that incorporate inquiry, experimentation, engineering design, and real-world problem-solving.
-Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic, social-emotional, and learning needs of all students.
-Utilize data-driven instructional practices to monitor progress and improve student achievement.
-Integrate technology and digital tools to enhance learning and support responsible use of resources.
-Create a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment that reflects the district's commitment to equity and belonging.
-Assess student learning using a variety of formative and summative measures and provide timely feedback.
-Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress.
-Collaborate with colleagues, special education staff, interventionists, and administrators to support student success.
-Communicate effectively with students, families, and caregivers regarding academic progress and classroom expectations.
