Job Summary:

Overland Park Respiratory & Rehab Center is seeking a motivated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to be a key team member of our therapy department.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech therapy services in accordance with physician orders, resident care plans, facility policies, and applicable state and federal regulations.

• Complete accurate, timely, and compliant documentation for all therapy services provided.

• Communicate effectively with the Director of Rehabilitation (DOR), therapy team, nursing staff, and other facility team members.

• Collaborate with nursing, MDS, admissions, social services, and other interdisciplinary team members to support resident care, discharge planning, and overall facility operations.

• Help maintain the quality, consistency, and effectiveness of therapy services throughout the facility.

• Support resident and family communication regarding therapy progress, goals, care needs, and discharge planning, as appropriate.

• Promote a positive, accountable, resident-centered, and team-oriented culture.

Requirements:

• Current Kansas Speech-Language Pathologist license, or valid authorization to practice in Kansas through the Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology Interstate Compact.

• Experience evaluating and treating tracheostomy and ventilator-dependent residents in a skilled nursing or sub-acute rehabilitation setting strongly preferred.

• Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care, or sub-acute rehabilitation setting preferred.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to complete accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory and facility requirements.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the therapy team, nursing team, residents, and families.

Salary Range: $48-$53 hourly, based on experience
