As a Patient Care Technician (PCT), you will be a vital part of our collaborative nursing team, supporting Registered Nurses in providing hands-on care and helping create a safe, welcoming environment for patients. We offer the region’s only Maternal Fetal Health Center to care for critically ill mothers and their babies. Our hospital has an antepartum unit, a labor and delivery unit, and a Level III NICU. We have four emergency rooms, including a dedicated Pediatric emergency room and two freestanding ERs located in Olathe and Shawnee. Each year our colleagues treat over 45,000 patients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
- Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
- Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
- Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
- Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality
- Flexible PRN Schedule - must work minimum 2 12-hr shifts per month
- A minimum of a High school diploma or GED required.
- 1 years of experience in an acute care setting, Preferred.
- Kansas Certified Nursing Assistant License required or completion of the HCA Patient Care Tech Essentials training.
- BCLS certification required upon hire.
- With no recent hospital-based experience, must be able to attend the PCT Essentials training (M-F 8a – 5pm first 2 weeks of employment). September Start Dates
