Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Cashier to join our team! In this vital role, you will be the friendly face of our store, ensuring smooth retail sales transactions and delivering outstanding service. Responsibilities
- Operate cash registers efficiently, accurately handling retail sales transactions and cash handling procedures
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries
- Sometimes help stock shelves, merchandise displays, and assist with store organization to maintain an inviting shopping environment
- Maintain proper cash drawer handling and ensure all cash register operations adhere to company policies
- Use POS (Point of Sale) systems confidently while demonstrating strong communication skills and phone etiquette
Requirements
- Previous cashiering or retail sales experience preferred, especially with POS systems
- Strong basic math skills for handling transactions accurately
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly attitude towards customers and team members
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse community needs
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising, and retail math is beneficial
Availability
- Candidates must have day availability as early as 7 am and evening availability as late as 10:15 p.m.
- Candidates must have weekend availability including Sunday's
