What are the responsibilities and job description for the Van Build Technician (Level 2 | Electrical-Focused) position at Overland Design-Build?
> ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Van Build Technician (Level 2 – Electrical Focus) at Overland Design-Build, you’ll put your skills to work enhancing Winnebago Revel and Winnebago Ekko vans. Unlike full conversion shops, ODB specializes in modifying, improving, and installing both our in-house engineered products and high-quality aftermarket components.
Your primary focus will be 12-volt electrical systems — installing charge controllers, relays, fuse panels, outlets, and lighting, as well as more advanced upgrades like lithium batteries, solar, and DC-DC charging. Because these systems integrate with Winnebago’s factory architecture, precision and reliability are critical.
But your work won’t stop at wiring. You’ll also help with non-electrical installs such as cargo carriers and boxes, suspension upgrades, seating, bumpers, and ladders. Every day will bring variety, from running clean wiring looms to bolting on gear that makes vans more capable and adventure-ready.
You’ll collaborate closely with our Production Manager and shop team, contributing to a culture where craftsmanship, efficiency, and innovation all matter. You’ll also have the opportunity to mentor junior technicians, shape installation standards, and influence product improvements as ODB continues to grow.
If you’re excited by the idea of making Revels and Ekkos more functional, reliable, and fun for owners, this role is for you.
> SCHEDULE
Our shop runs on a 4×10 schedule, Tuesday through Friday, so you’ll enjoy long weekends to recharge or get outdoors.
