Accounting Manager

Our Accounting Manager will play a critical role in maintaining the financial health of the agency, ensuring seamless financial operations, and supporting our leadership team with accurate reporting and insights.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Manage the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate, payroll, and other applicable taxes.
• Assist with the management of the company’s financial operations and reporting.
• Manage payroll processing and related activities, including onboarding and offboarding.
• Maintain and ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
• Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
• Provide training to new and existing staff as needed.
• Handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within a marketing agency environment.
• Proficiency in Workamajig is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently.
• Experience managing various workload volumes and meeting tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in Google Spreadsheets and QuickBooks.
• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
