What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early Childhood Teacher position at Overhills Child Development?
Do You Light Up Around Kids? We Want YOU!
Warning: This Job Involves Spontaneous Dance Parties, Endless 'Why?' Questions, and Really Big Hugs! Love Kids? Have Energy to Spare? Get Paid to Play! If you're the type of person who can turn snack time into an adventure, make up silly songs on the spot, and have endless energy for "one more time!" THEN KEEP READING!
Here's the Magic:
Your day includes singing, dancing, reading stories with silly voices, building block towers, finger painting, exploring outside, celebrating every "I did it!" moment, helping tie shoes, solving the mystery of missing crayons, and genuinely enjoying the beautiful chaos of early childhood.
We have 13 classrooms filled with amazing children from 6 weeks to 12 years old. Some of our young citizens have special needs, which makes our community even richer and more vibrant. Every child brings something beautiful to our center, and you'll get to be part of all of it.
First Things First:
We take education seriously. Our curriculum is structured, research-based, and designed to ensure every child reaches their developmental milestones on time. You'll be implementing proven teaching strategies that build literacy, math, social-emotional, and physical skills. Parents trust us because their children don't just have fun – they learn and grow.
But here's what we need from you: the FUN, energetic spirit that brings this curriculum to life! Yes, there's structure and standards (we'll teach you all of that!), but you're the one who makes learning feel like play.

- High energy and a playful spirit
- Patience – lots and lots of it!
- Genuine warmth and love for children
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Reliability and commitment to showing up
