We operate with high standards, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence in every patient interaction. The OpportunityWe are looking for a motivated, versatile Medical Office Coordinator to serve an integral role in our daily operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their workday and takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service. Training can be provided across all aspects of the role; though experience with prior authorizations is preferred. As the practice grows, this position will evolve with opportunities to specialize or take on leadership responsibilities. Responsibilities • Prior Authorizations & Insurance Verification: Submit, track, and follow up on prior authorizations for surgical and non-surgical procedures. Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits.• Scheduling & Calendar Management: Coordinate and manage the physician’s clinical and surgical schedule. Schedule patient consultations, follow-ups, pre-op, and post-op appointments.• Front Desk & Reception: Greet patients warmly, manage check-in/check-out, and answer and route phone calls with a professional and friendly demeanor.• Phone Communication & Customer Service: Serve as the primary phone contact for the practice. Communicate with patients, referring physicians, and other offices in a manner that is polished, helpful, and leaves a positive impression. This is a critical part of the role.• Clinical Support & Chaperoning: Serve as a chaperone during patient examinations and in-office procedures as needed.• Coordination: Communicate and coordinate with referring physicians, surgical facilities, and other medical offices to ensure seamless patient care.• Administrative Support: Manage medical records, handle correspondence, process referrals, and assist with general office organization and supply management.Qualifications  Required• Exceptional customer service and phone skills• Professional, warm, and personable communication style• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail• Comfort with multitasking and adapting in a clinical environment• Proficiency with computers and willingness to learn electronic health records (EHR) systems• Reliable and punctual Preferred (Not Required—Training Can Be Provided)• Experience in a medical office setting• Experience with prior authorizations and insurance verification• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus but not required• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)• Experience in a plastic surgery, dermatology, or surgical specialty office• Familiarity with CPT/ICD-10 coding or cosmetic consultation workflows What We Offer• Competitive compensation ($27–$33/hr, based on experience)• Training can be provided across all aspects of the role• Ground-floor opportunity to join a growing practice• Clear path for career advancement as the team expands• Supportive, collaborative work environment• Health insurance• Two weeks paid vacation annually in addition to required sick/safe leave. How to ApplyPlease submit your resume and a brief cover letter  We look forward to hearing from you! Ovadia Plastic Surgery is an equal opportunity employer.
