Duties
- Assist the management team in overseeing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory control, and cash handling.
- Lead and motivate the sales team by providing coaching, training, and development to enhance their performance and customer service skills.
- Assist with employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting efforts, and onboarding processes to build a strong retail team.
- Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to meet or exceed sales targets through effective merchandising, pricing, and promotional activities.
- Supervise cashiering operations using POS (Point of Sale) systems while maintaining accuracy in transactions and cash handling procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures while fostering a positive work environment through managerial communication and leadership.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Assistant Manager or in a supervisory role within the retail industry sales team management environment is preferred but not needed
- Demonstrated skills in customer service excellence, and team supervision with a focus on retail sales growth.
- Prior retail store product knowledge is advantageous for understanding product placement and pricing strategies.
- Excellent organizational skills combined with time management expertise to handle shift management duties efficiently.
