Outreach is hiring a full-time Senior Accountant at the Outreach Administrative Office to oversee advanced accounting functions and support the organization’s financial operations. The Senior Accountant will report to the Controller and work closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and sound fiscal management practices.

Outreach is hiring a full-time Senior Accountant at the Outreach Administrative Office to oversee advanced accounting functions and support the organization’s financial operations. The Senior Accountant will report to the Controller and work closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and sound fiscal management practices.

- $74,000 - $85,000 annually, based on education, experience, and skills.

- Maintain accurate financial records and oversee general ledger activity.
- Complete monthly and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and adjusting journal entries.
- Prepare and review financial reports for management and program leadership.
- Review balance sheet accounts, bank reconciliations, prepaid expenses, depreciation schedules, allocations, and accruals.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
- Assist with annual audit preparation, audit schedules, and supporting documentation.
- Support compliance with GAAP, grant requirements, and organizational financial policies.
- Review accounts payable and accounts receivable activity for accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor cash receipts, ACH activity, and bank transactions.
- Assist with maintaining and improving accounting procedures and internal controls.
- Provide guidance, training, and backup support to finance staff.
- Participate in special projects and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40-45 hours/week, Monday-Friday.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
- CPA certification required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience required, preferably within a nonprofit organization.
- Experience with federal grants preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, reconciliations, internal controls, budgeting, and audit preparation required.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software required; experience with Sage Intacct preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Commitment to Outreach Community Ministries’ Statement of Mission and Faith is required.
Salary : $74,000 - $85,000
