Position Overview:
The Operation Logistics Administrator is highly organized and detail oriented as they support the daily logistics and supply chain operations of the organization. This position plays a key role in ensuring the smooth coordination between departments, suppliers, shipping providers, and internal teams to deliver products and services efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations (order processing, shipping, and receiving)
- Track shipments and ensure timely delivery of materials and products (BOL processing)
- Maintain accurate records of orders and logistics data
- Prepare and process shipping documents and quotes as necessary
- Communicate with vendors, carriers, and freight companies to resolve delivery issues, and proactively notify internal teams of any delays or disruptions
- Support warehouse, procurement, and operations teams with administrative tasks
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations
- Assist in implementing process improvements to increase logistics efficiency.
- Track carrier performance metrics (on-time delivery, damage rates, etc)
- Negotiate freight cost
- Analyze transportation costs and recommend cost-effective shipping solutions
- Prepare reports and dashboards for management review
- Maintain filing systems for logistics records and documentation
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or logistics certification preferred.
- 2 years of experience in logistics, operations, or administrative support, negotiations.
- Familiarity with freight carriers (LTL, FTL, FedEx, UPS) and shipping platforms.
- Experience with ERP/CRM systems (e.g., Sage, NetSuite) is preferred.
- Strong communication, documentation, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced team environment.
