In this role you will be responsible for defining opportunities for improvement, measuring the key parameters, analyzing the acquired data, implementing the chosen solution, and controlling the process to verify the implementation of the chosen solution. The Specialist will use a variety of tools like process data acquisition systems, surveys and statistical control, in addition to their technical expertise, to improve the safety, quality, reliability, efficiency and productivity
Education & experience:

- Bachelor’s degree plus at least 2-3 years’ experience of working or, >5 years’ experience in manufacturing as mechanical specialist.
- Read and understand equipment repair manuals and procedures
- Computer proficient with Microsoft based programs.
- SAP preferred
- Proven industrial mechanical maintenance knowledge
- Ability to read technical schematics
- Understanding and adhering to safety protocols
- Meticulousness in ensuring accuracy and quality of work.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues
- Ability to read and interpret various company policies and procedures
- Good communication skills
- Maintain the functionality, plant safety and high availability of the production facilities in the department or area of responsibility.
- Aid assess, define, develop, and troubleshoot major technical issues with the ability to solve problems and find root causes.
- Troubleshoot and provide support to the maintenance crew during breakdown or repair measures.
- Responsible for planning, coordination and handling of repairs of mechanical systems.
- Organize and define maintenance standards and keep them updated.
- Ensure that maintenance plans are up to date in the SAP-PM.
- Review notifications distribute and schedule work orders to the team members.
- Analyze breakdown records and fault finding.
- Ensure that there are spare components/parts for all equipment and that they have been accurately recorded on SAP-PM.
- Implementation, examination and judgments of the continuous improvement proposals.
- Responsible for administration of technical documents and ensure that documentation is up to date.
- Provide training and assistance to team members.
- Verify condition of tools and instruments.
- Give direction to reports and create a proactive work environment.
- Work with external vendors.
- Any other activities that may be required or requested to support the business.
Physical requirements:
- Ability to utilize personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toes shoes, goggles, respirator, safety harness, safety line, flotation gear, etc.) safely per OSHA standards
- Must have the ability to climb in a safe manner (climbing as a minimum includes stairs and ramps) same as ability to walk long distances and demonstrate good balance on uneven terrain or maneuvering obstacles
- Ability to withstand exposure to elevated ambient temperature for extended periods of time
- Must be able to work in extreme heat
- Exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, vibrations, dust and asphalt
- Must be able to work in a high noise environment where the use of hearing protection is required
- Ability to frequently use hand or fingers to handle or feel objects/materials
- Ability to work in areas with strong magnetic fields
- Bend, twist, lift, stand, walk, reach, see, move, and hear as required by specific position
- Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms
- Must be able to communicate utilizing radios, phones and/or intercom systems
- Ability to perform physically demanding work including lifting and/or moving up to 50 lbs. utilizing proper lifting techniques
- Ability to safely use power and hand tools
Salary range: USD.76,200-104,700
