Electrician - Non Union

JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for insuring the integrity and safe working condition of all shop and billboard mounted electrical components/systems. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Installation and repair of wiring and conduit within the scope of the NEC (National Electrical Code) Repair and maintenance of electrical fixtures and control equipment. (Time Clock) Able to set and program time clocks. Planning for new or modified installations to minimize waste of material, provide access for future maintenance, lock all disconnects when leaving sign. Install equipment such as lighting fixtures, relays, ballast, breakers disconnects circuit breakers and fuses. Fasten in place with screws or bolts. Use the lock out tag out method. Identify and promptly report any unsafe conditions observed. PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS, ENVIRONMENT: Climbing and working at elevated heights in different weather and heat conditions sitting, walking, standing, speaking, hearing, reading, kneeling, lifting, carrying a minimum of 50 lbs., multiple concurrent tasks, frequent interruptions, verbal and written communication, detailed work and confidentiality. EQUIPMENT USED: Safety harness with lanyard and other personal protective equipment, various ladders, a multi-meter to determine voltage, power tools and hand tools. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must have 2 years minimum electrical experience Ability without fearing to climb and work safely at elevated heights, 60ft or more. Read blueprints and schematic. Ability to troubleshoot and fix electrical problems. Should be a licensed electrician or be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge and experience to meet the definition of a qualified person in a sign/billboard work environment.
