Kitchen Helper

Job Summary

Outback Steakhouse is seeking a dependable and hardworking Kitchen Helper to support the kitchen team with food preparation, cleaning, and daily operations. The ideal candidate will help maintain an organized workspace, follow food safety procedures, and assist kitchen staff in providing timely service.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks.
• Wash, peel, and prepare ingredients as directed.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen items when needed.
• Organize ingredients and supplies in designated storage areas.
• Help restock kitchen stations during service.
• Remove trash and maintain clean work areas.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries as assigned.
• Complete additional kitchen support duties as directed by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or food service experience is helpful but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work well with a team.
• Reliable, punctual, and attentive to cleanliness.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Willingness to perform routine kitchen duties and stand for extended periods.
• Availability for scheduled shifts, including evenings and weekends when needed.
