Overview
We're seeking a Compensation and Market Pricing Consultant to build market-aligned pay structures, define pricing methodology, and ensure the new job architecture is compensation-ready and validated in HRIS.
Key Responsibilities
- Define market pricing methodology: survey sources, match criteria, data aging, and treatment of hybrid roles
- Design salary structures (bands/grades), build ranges, and set compa-ratio guardrails and slotting rules
- QA mapping outcomes for consistency and equity; perform variance and pay impact analyses
- Define compensation attributes for HRIS (grade/band, range IDs) and partner with HRIS and Comp to test and validate
- Analyze geo pay strategies (national vs geo-differentiated ranges) and model cost implications
- Contribute to compensation policies and guidelines; advise on structure design (technical vs managerial tracks) and trade-offs between market alignment, internal equity, and budget
Qualifications
- 7 years in compensation with deep experience in market pricing and pay structures
- Hands-on experience building salary ranges and structures using survey data
- Strong analytical and modeling skills (Excel/Sheets)
- Experience working with HRIS on compensation configuration
- Data-driven, proactive, and comfortable presenting options, pros/cons, and recommendations to senior leaders
