Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients to streamline kitchen operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal assembly and timely service during busy hours
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and maintaining proper storage temperatures
- Support menu planning efforts by suggesting new ideas or improvements based on customer feedback and culinary trends
- Contribute to a positive team environment by communicating effectively and assisting colleagues as needed
Experience
- Previous kitchen experience in a restaurant or food service setting is highly preferred, especially in fine dining environments
- Demonstrated skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, knife handling, and meal assembly
