Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role for a Social Worker/School Counselor. The individual in this role will provide emotional, social, and psychological support to students, and work closely with school staff to develop and implement programs that support student well-being. Key tasks include counseling students, providing crisis intervention, collaborating with teachers and parents, and conducting assessments to identify students' needs. The position is located in St. Joseph, MI.
Qualifications
- Experience in Counseling and Social Work
- Skills in Crisis Intervention and Conflict Resolution
- Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills
- Ability to develop and implement support programs
- Knowledge of Child Development and Educational Strategies
- Ability to work collaboratively with school staff, students, and parents
- Relevant certification and licensure in social work or counseling
- Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is preferred
