Responsibilities
- Safely operate packaging machinery and tools, including knives and mechanical equipment, ensuring precise and secure packaging of meat products
- Follow HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) protocols to uphold food safety standards throughout the packaging process
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas in compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations and plant sanitation procedures
- Inspect meat products for quality, appearance, and freshness before packaging
- Label packages accurately with product information, weight, and expiration dates to ensure traceability and compliance
- Assist in the setup and maintenance of packaging lines
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, including proper knife handling techniques and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food processing, manufacturing is preferred, but we are willing to train
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced setting
