Caregiver (In-Home Care)
Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and experienced caregivers to provide high-quality, non-medical home care services to clients in the comfort of their homes. As a caregiver, you will support individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, companionship, and other supportive tasks to enhance their quality of life and promote independence. This position also comes with the opportunity to travel to Valley City 3 times a week, Mileage reimbursement as well.
Key Responsibilities
Personal Care Assistance
- Help clients with bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, dressing, and toileting
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe ambulation
Companionship and Emotional Support
- Engage clients in meaningful conversation and activities
- Provide companionship and reduce feelings of isolation
Meal Preparation and Feeding
- Plan and prepare nutritious meals based on dietary needs
- Assist with feeding if necessary
Light Housekeeping
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment
- Perform tasks such as laundry, dishes, and general tidying
Medication Reminders
- Prompt clients to take medications as prescribed
- Observe for changes in health and report concerns to supervisor
Transportation and Errands
- Accompany or transport clients to appointments, grocery stores, or social activities (if applicable)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and vehicle insurance
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others
Work Environment
- In-home care setting
- Flexible shifts: part-time, full-time, days, evenings, weekends
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 25 lbs
- Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and assisting with mobility
