This is responsible professional work providing a variety of administrative support services to a department head or other administrative position. The work includes providing staff liaison to the various departmental divisions and programs, outside agencies, and the media. The work is performed under the general supervision of a department head or administrative position. The employees may supervise subordinate support staff.
This position is located in the Treasurer's Office and will involve collections, customer service, court filings, and legal documents. Work will include the follow activities.

This is responsible professional work providing a variety of administrative support services to a department head or other administrative position. The work includes providing staff liaison to the various departmental divisions and programs, outside agencies, and the media. The work is performed under the general supervision of a department head or administrative position. The employees may supervise subordinate support staff.
This position is located in the Treasurer's Office and will involve collections, customer service, court filings, and legal documents. Work will include the follow activities.
- Working collaboratively with Mobile GR staff related to parking ordinances, parking tickets, enforcement, and technology staff.
- Investigating, filing, and representing the City in small claim cases.
- Partnering with City attorney and outside counsel for general civil cases.
- Garnishment filings related to income taxes, bank accounts, and wages.
- Seizure orders for property and work with court officers.
- Reviewing and posting parking violation payments including detail analysis.
- Evaluation of best collection options and practices by analyzing all outstanding debts for a customer and pursuing the best option to collect the full amount owed.
- Review all bankruptcy cases where the City will attempt to collect outstanding debts.
- Work with and support Business Office Representative staff by providing leadership as an expert in collections and Treasurer’s business practices.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Public Administration, Government, or a related field
- At least two (2) to four (4) years of progressively responsible related work experience
- Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities
