Institutional Sales Associate

Reports to: Chief Revenue Officer
Compensation: $90,000 to $120,000 base uncapped commission ($180,000 to $240,000 OTE)

The team is made up of traders, financial technologists, CIOs, and institutional sales leaders, building what they wish they’d had. The company is backed by investors who focus only on critical capital markets technology built by people from inside the industry.
The Role
You open institutional accounts, and you’re in the room when they open. The platform’s agents handle the repeatable admin work. Your day is the part that can’t be automated.
You’ll work directly with the CRO on live deals, from first meeting through firm-wide deployment, selling an AI platform to some of the most sophisticated buyers in financial services.
What You’ll Do
- Pick your targets and get in the door, often with no warm path in
- Sit across from PMs, COOs, CTOs, CISOs, and heads of business
- Run technical demos of the platform and earn credibility with technical and business stakeholders
- Hear the objection underneath the question
- Know when a deal is real and when it’s politeness
- Work live deals with the CRO, from first meeting through firm-wide deployment
- Own your pipeline and activity metrics against an annual quota
- Keep every commitment you make
What You Bring
- 2 to 4 years of full-cycle or outbound sales experience
- Experience selling AI or technical software products
- You’d rather find the account than be handed it
- You can tell interest from politeness
- You get sharper in a hard conversation
- Enough technical curiosity to get credible fast and demo with confidence
Nice to Have
- Exposure to institutional finance, capital markets, or trading technology
- Graduate of a structured sales training program
- Customer success background with a move into new business
- A track record prospecting into accounts with no warm intro
