Description: The Sales Manager, Performance Chemicals owns a full-cycle industrial sales desk, from order entry through delivery, while building and growing a portfolio of performance chemical accounts.
Responsibilities/skills:
Manage the customer base and oversee the full sales cycle from A to Z, including purchase orders, product ordering, allocation to depots, order entry, scheduling deliveries, customer communication, and shipping documentation.
Drive sales growth across the performance chemicals business by identifying opportunities, expanding accounts, and developing new business relationships.
Support development of new product lines within performance chemicals, including blowing agents for the polyurethane industry and related product mixes.
Oversee the Crusher business unit, including customer-facing activity tied to processing aerosol or inhaler-type containers and supporting recycling and reclaim efforts.
Build and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of customer stakeholders, from global commodity managers to plant or maintenance leaders.
Partner with procurement and logistics teams to support product availability, order flow, and customer satisfaction.
Monitor market activity, customer needs, industry trends, and competitive activity to support pricing, positioning, and growth strategy.
Represent the organization in meetings, presentations, and customer site visits to strengthen partnerships and promote solutions
Qualifications:
Prior sales experience, ideally within industrial, chemical, manufacturing, or multi-line product environments.
Experience managing customer relationships and navigating a complex sales process across multiple stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage logistics, inventory flow, and customer expectations in a fast-paced setting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to operate effectively in a high-pressure environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Chemistry or product knowledge related to urethanes, blowing agents, specialty chemicals, or similar industrial products is preferred, or the ability to learn quickly..
